Cyber Union Update: 4/19/2020

It has been a while since I have posted anything due to a bunch of work coming in for my business. Between running my own business, working a normal job, and trying to study, there just hasn’t been any time to write. However, all this will be changing soon.
Recently, I have started executing my exit strategy from the 9 to 5 life to focus on my business and side projects. A mix of things set me up to do this, most importantly saving up half my paycheck for the past year, fueled by all the F.I.R.E-related changes I have made to my life. I encourage everyone to take a closer look at their finances and make better choices.

Besides that, what has been going on in my life? I will be taking the CompTIA PenTest+ version 2 beta soon. Part of the content for the Cyber Union I would like to provide in the future are reviews and training paths for SOC Analysts and Pen Testers. This, of course, includes taking classes and writing reviews. The CompTIA certification will be the first of the series. Now, I am not sure if I will pass because I have only glossed over the content for the first version, but I will give it a good try. Either way, I feel that I can provide invaluable feedback to others.

Over the past six months or so, I also had the opportunity to make my way through the eCPTX and Rasta Mouse’s Red Team Ops courses. Both were pretty well-written courses, but I plan to go back through them and write a review for the certification series. Spoiler, Red Team Ops was awesome.
Besides the certification series, I plan to release more walkthrough videos and content regarding my research. Keep an eye on the “Pen Tester Training Program” and the “InfoSec Analyst Training Program” for more continuous updates.

Stay tuned for more fun stuff!
