Linux

A free site that walks you through how to use Linux from beginner to advanced. You will need to get a linux system up and running to use this site. #Haven'tUsed

FullStack Academy's Linux Command Line for Beginners (free)

Hands On Cyber Security

Challenges and Games

General InfoSec

OverTheWire
A great resource for learning the Linux command line, binary analysis, web attacks and other skills. I recommend using a VM for the labs. You will use it to connect to the lab system and work through the problem.

Cryptography

Cryptopals
A great site to learn about cryptography with your hands on the keyboard. These are crypto focused coding challenges so make sure you study up on a programming language before getting into these labs.

Hacking

Vulnhubs
One of the original hacking labs out there. Although it has fallen out of the favor due to HTB and THM, it still has very valuable content.

Web Hacking

PentesterLab
One of my favorite places to learn advanced web application hacking. There are some free labs but many are part of a subscription plan. If you are focused on web applications or bug bounties, the subscription is worth the $19.99 a month cost.
